Hi everyone! I’m in Europe at the moment…and man do I love it here! I just finished a contest in Portugal last week, so I took the weekend after the comp to go to my favorite city in the world Paris! Now that I’ve eaten plenty of croissants, turned 21 under the Eiffel tower, and literally seen every inch of the city via bicycle, its time to head to Hossegor for my last competition in Europe! I love this small French town and everything about it! In fact, I love it so much I want to share my favorite places to eat, stay, and workout:).
FOOD!
In France the food is nothing short from amazing! My favorite place in Hossegor is a pizzeria called Napoli. The pasta and pizza are made daily and probably the best I’ve ever had. And I make sure to get my fill at the end of the contest as a little reward 😉 During the comp the salmon is my personal favorite and I pretty much eat it every night. I defiantly like routine when I’m competing and this is one routine I can not complain about!
WORKOUT!
In the middle of the town there is a lake with a trail that loops around it. I love running around the lake watching people fish, eat picnics, and enjoy the view.
If you really want to feel the burn head to the beach and do some sprints in the sand.
HOTEL!
Hotel 202 is the best place to stay! The staff is amazing, never forgetting your name or how you take your coffee. The hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of town, the breakfast is included in the room, and its off the chain! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and cute. For sure the place to stay if you are headed to the south of France (AKA Hossegor).
SOMETHING FUN!
I’m a big picnic fan! That said, every time I’m in Hossegor I buy some fresh fruit, cheese, olives, a baguette and head to the lake or the beach. I would totally recommend doing this. Find a good little nook, and enjoy France the French way.
That’s it for now! Hope this helps if you are every traveling in the area. Time for me to sign off and go for a surf!
