November 11, 2015Jewelry, MiscBy Lakey

_MG_4652Recently my Mom, sister, and I stumbled upon Misa Jewelry while shopping at The Cove in San Clemente. Each piece is incredibly delicate, beautiful, entirely handmade, and feminine. The line exudes Misa Hamamoto’s inspiring island upbringing and the treasures of the sea. Wearing it takes me back to some of the best memories I’ve ever had in the ocean, and therefore in my life. The intricate designs and precious gems remind me of how indescribable the underwater world is, and that I always want to be an ambassador for the ocean.

One piece I really fell in love with was the Evolve Mermaid ring. The soft colors remind me of the reflection of sky meets ocean when sitting on my surf board at sunset in Fiji. A place and feeling I always want to remember. The circular shape reminds me that life is an amazing journey that is meant to be cherished.

I believe wearing jewelry should be more then looking pretty, it should be personal and meaningful. Taking you back to a special moment in time when you were given it, reminding you of a person, or in this case reinforcing my deep love for the ocean and the moments I spend in it. Doesn’t hurt that it also makes me feel completely feminine in a wetsuit.

Please check out  www.misajewelry.com. It is seriously breath taking and Misa’s process of creating each handmade piece is truly an art form and a treasure.

Xx
